Danish IT company to have 17 mio. euro injection

The European investment fund Index Ventures is to inject 17 mio. euro in the Danish technology company Milestone Systems in Brøndby.
It is the first time that the Danish developer of open platform IP video management software for surveillance systems opens for external investors. Milestone is now holding approximately 14-16 per cent of the global market in its field, writes Berlingske Business.
“Milestone has consistently grown 40-60 per cent per year since we were estabslished in 1998 and we are optimistic about the IP video surveillance market,” says general manager Lars Thinggaard.
According to IMS Research the international market for IP video solutions will be USD 12 billion in 2012 of which one third will be digital solutions.
Milestone now has 20 staff in the USA and 160 worldwide.
